What We Believe

When I was putting together the “About Us” page of this website, and started to think – well, what about us? My thoughts always fell back to the foundation of who we are and how we got here. I am not going to put too many theological discussions here (we have a separate ministry webpage I am working on for that purpose) – but I will discuss it briefly.

You may notice some of our art has Hebrew words and letters on it, so the first thought may be – are they Jewish? Then you may come across the artwork that includes New Testament verses, including quotes of Christ. Simply put, we believe fully in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. We don’t particularly subscribe to any one translation of the Bible, as none are perfect, and like to compare what the translators wrote.

To put it even simpler – we are trying to go back to first century Christianity. When the early believers followed the teachings of the Messiah – who taught out of the only Bible they had at the time, what we now know as the Old Testament. We do not follow man-made church doctrine. Yes, some is good, but some blatantly contradicts the Bible. So we have spent the past years unlearning what we were taught in modern day churches growing up, and are going back to the original source – the Bible.

You will see Hebrew words and phrases throughout our artwork because the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and those words are so much richer than the English it has been translated to. Ask anyone who knows a foreign language – there are some words and phrases that simply do not translate to English to give the full meaning of the native tongue.

You may also notice that if you try to order something from our online shop on a Saturday, you will not be able to. This is because we follow the Old Testament, this includes the 10 commandments, which the 4th one talks about keeping the 7th day holy. It is a set apart day for us where we do no work or business – but simply rest and worship the Creator of the heavens and the earth. The Sabbath is not a Jewish day, but rather a day God commanded for us to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life. A pretty awesome command I think – rest, relax, do no work….

So those are our beliefs in a nutshell.
