I was reading up on sea turtles a little while I was designing this piece and learned some super interesting things about them.

Did you know that sea turtles travel the sea for many years and then eventually return to the same spot they were born to mate and hatch their own eggs? According to National Geographic, “The turtles rely on Earth’s magnetic signature to find their way home. That’s because each part of the coastline has its own magnetic signature, which the animals remember and later use as an internal compass.” Isn’t that amazing?

This piece has a beautiful ocean made using resin and the little turtle and words were wood burned by hand. It is approximately 4.5 to 5 inches in diameter. The price includes the wood piece and also the small plastic stand.
