What better way to protect your table from your cup of morning coffee than with this lovely butterfly coaster. The gold outline of the butterfly is a striking contrast to the wood burned background. As you sip your coffee in the morning, you will see the warm light reflecting off this butterfly which will hopefully make you view your up and coming day with an added little smile on your face.

This piece was handmade, and it took a very very long time to be made. The dark areas were all burned by hand using a small wood burning tool – you won’t be able to help but run your finger over the texture this created. The imitation gold leaf (aluminum) was applied using the tiniest of paintbrushes. While small, this piece took hours to create.

The wood is finished with multiple coats of polycrylic, so it should be able to withstand both hot and cold beverages. It is a unique and one of a kind piece that not only will protect your table, but also looks great at the same time. It can also be used as a home accent with a small plastic easel (sold separately). Whatever it’s intended use in your home, it is sure to be a lovely addition.
