Handmade and Unique

Don’t get me wrong, I love going to Target or Hobby Lobby and getting a perfectly printed wall decoration for our home. They have some beautiful things at stores that machines print out. But there is something special about a handmade piece of work.

If you asked me to recreate an identical coaster to one that I already made, I could try my hardest, but there would always be something different about it. Isn’t that the way nature works too? No two snowflakes are ever the same? Even flowers – they may look similar, but each is unique in its own way.

These coasters all look similar, but each one is different. The wood shape, size, grains, imperfections, are all beautiful and unique. Not only that, but by doing everything by hand, each one of these pieces was created with thoughtful intention and love. That’s definitely not something you will get from a machine made product.
